So this is how we decorated for Staci's Bridal Shower. This sign was in the front walk way, so people didn't go through the house but went through the back yard gate. Dad of course made this frame and then painted the inside with chalk board paint.
This was the side of the house, right inside the gate. We had the guests share their favorite recipe on a card we sent in their invitation.
This was my favorite section. Dad made a simple wooden frame out of old fencing. He then stretched chicken wire to the back. This made for a sort of board, which we gave to Staci to use in her house. You can clip photos, use it as a message board or really anything. We put two types of yogurt in mason jars and filled a crock container with granola. We also had a bowl of rasberry, blueberry and black berry.
I brought out my trunk and picnic basket out for the coffee/ juice bar. I took the old tin tub and filled it with ice and tossed the water bottles in it. We really needed it because it was hot. It was really humid that day too. But at least it wasn't raining.
This was where we served the food. We took an old door, of course that Dad had and put it on sawhorse for legs. You can see the door knob right there in the center. I told Dad that I was looking for a window frame to use as decoration. So again you know Dad. He went out to the shop and made this one. It does not have glass, but that was better because it wasn't too heavy to hang.
I used this fabric because her kitchen will be decorated in an Americana theme.
Dad also made these little signs for the food. We put small pinwheels on then made out of paper bags. We used the same pinwheels on the invites. I made two stradas, two frittata, and Mandy made these delicious mini pancake stacks topped with a rasberry.
Looking pretty good for 50? Ok well so I need to work on the humble thing :)
Now there are some pretty girls!
Staci and her Mom Linda.
And I think this is Caleb's sister. Of course you know Stephanie, Staci's sister and there is Kim Talley.
Now that this shower is over we are working on Laura's. Her's will be held at Aunt Cindy's church. She has invited all the ladies of the church. That means 50. I know. Lord give me strength. It is fun and I am grateful that Dad is able to help. Can't wait to show you the pics from that one. Love you tons and can't wait to see you guys.
